To react to domestic and international net-zero regulations and growing demand for global supply chains to achieve carbon neutrality, corporate net-zero transformation has become an urgent priority. To support enterprises in this transition, the Center for Carbon Research and Solution (CCRS) of National Sun Yat-sen University has developed a series of courses with the theme of "Green Transformation Pioneers". The courses provide systematic knowledge including preparation for net-zero transformation, setting net-zero targets, and the external resources required for carbon reduction. This program received a wide participation and support from industry, government and academia fields. The second session of the "Net-Zero Carbon Management" series focused on "Corporate Net-Zero: Ready for Transformation!", nearly a hundred of participants gathered at the Kaohsiung Software Park Conference Center, aiming to  gain knowledge for the standards and practices of greenhouse gas inventory, and to understand national policies from a macro perspective, as well as the context and potential carbon neutrality pathways that enterprises may take toward net-zero targets.

Wei-Ling He, Project Manager of Metal Industries Research & Development Centre, presented "Corporate Greenhouse Gas Inventory Standards and Practical Applications", and offered a comprehensive overview covering the current state of GHG inventory in Taiwan, the standard of GHG inventory, and quantification and calculation of GHG. Step by step, Wei-Ling He guided the participants through the structure, process, and methodologies of carbon inventory. She also shared valuable free resources and tools provided by the Climate Change Administration of the Ministry of Environment and the Industrial Development Bureau of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. These tools are designed to assist enterprises to conduct GHG inventories and to help minimize potential costs. When responding to questions from the participants, Wei-Ling He carefully broke down complex questions, clarified key concepts, and helped the participants to build a solid foundation for conducting GHG inventories.

The event also featured a presentation by Chih-Ming Kao, Chair Professor at the Institute of Environmental Engineering of NSYSU, titled "The Path to Net-Zero and Carbon Neutrality for Corporations: Carbon Inventory, Decarbonized Supply Chain, and Carbon Credits". Starting from a major international climate agreement, Chih-Ming Kao explained how the climate change issue has evolved in recent years, shaping critical global consensus and trends. He emphasized that "climate neutrality" is not a future issue, but an urgent priority we are facing. From the national government to industries and academic institutions, all sectors are now rethinking their approaches and strategies to enhance climate resilience and tackle climate challenges through concrete actions. For enterprises, understanding their own emission status through carbon inventory is crucial, but they should also recognize "circular economy" as a key strategy, including efficiently using resources and reducing carbon emission of products. In the meanwhile, corporations should also start to address scope 3 emissions, which include upstream and downstream emissions across the supply chain. As the global demand for a decarbonized supply chain accelerates, it will fundamentally change the rule of corporate net-zero, therefore, corporations should recognize this shift early and begin to integrate it into planning.

The CCRS of NSYSU in collaboration with TCX, has expanded the "Net-Zero Management" series of free lectures, featuring experts sharing the latest trend insights, and aiming to continually support enterprises in launching net-zero transition and to cultivate Taiwan's net-zero talents.
