The Ministry of Environment has announced the implementation of carbon fees, and discussions on a Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) for Taiwan are also underway.

To support the development of a well-designed policy framework, the CCRS is hosting the “Taiwan’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism Policy Seminar” to explore the potential impacts of international CBAM practices on domestic industrial development and policymaking.

The seminar has invited representatives from academia, industries, and government to share diverse perspectives and insights. We look forward to exchanging ideas to support Taiwan in developing a CBAM mechanism to align with international systems, and assist national and industrial development toward net-zero emission targets.
